Universiti Malaya Makes History
Universiti Malaya (UM) successfully secured 47th place in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025, making it one of the top 50 universities in Asia for the first time.
Outstanding Achievement
UM recorded a rise of 15 places compared to last year based on several evaluation criteria, including academic reputation with 82.4 points, employer reputation with 79.1 points, and student-staff ratio with 74.2 points.
Reaction from the Deputy Chancellor
"This achievement is the result of hard work by all UM community members โ faculty, staff, and students. It proves that higher education in Malaysia can compete at a global level," said the Deputy Chancellor of UM.
